Little is known about Rebecca Clarke.
Where was she born?
Who were her parents?
Where did she live and grow up as a child?
She died at the relatively young age of 41 from TB and yet had only 3 children from her marriage in 1836 to 1843. For some of this time Thomas was away, serving in the Royal Marines. It seems likely that the birth of the children coincided with the times his ship returned to Woolwich, but this still leaves a gap from the mid-1840's up to her death in 1857.
We may not be able to find out much more about her without locating the family in the 1851 census, a vital task if the family tree is to develop for this branch of the family.
