:: People online :: Ann Elizabeth Dobson

  • Family Missing
The family of Ann Dobson appears to be missing... that is to say, we can't find out much more about them online. The marriage of parents Isaac Dobson and Elizabeth Chapman took place at St. Nicholas, Kings Lynn on 9th July 1820. They then had two children:

Edward, born just 3 months later on 9th October 1820 and Ann, born 6th May 1823.

And that's it. We do know from the parish baptism registers that Isaac was a glazier in Kings Lynn, first living at Providence Terrace in 1820 and then later at Crop Lane in 1823. Additional information regarding baptisms and deaths give either no results or too many. Additional research to pinpoint the family is needed.
  • Death Record Mystery
Both Ann and husband Thomas died in parts unknown. Nearly all indexes up to 1910 have been checked and no likely candidates have been found.

It is known that their son Edward went to live in Scotland. He is missing from the 1901 census and it may be that Edward moved north on his marriage in 1893. The possibility is now considerd that Thomas and Elizabeth also moved to Scotland earlier or at the same time, hence the lack of death records.
